Who likes jumping?

Hey everyone!

I wanted to say a quick piece about leaps of faith. Not necessarily faith as in religion but rather faith as in the belief that you can do it.

A friend once told me that life involves taking leaps of faith to the next challenge that presents itself. Whether it be leaving your existing job that you are tired of for one you actually want to do or taking action of becoming healthy. She said imagine you are a circus act and you are swinging across trapezes. There might be a big fall if you miss the next one…

but you must let go of the one you’re currently holding before you can catch the next one. Are you ready to let go?

People are often unhappy about something in their life, and maybe people that seem the happiest often aren’t. We need to learn to be positive and proactive about about our problems. If you hate your job why stay in it for 10 years? Excuses start coming up like "I can't get another job in this climate". Yes, it is hard out there but if you’re unhappy and you keep things as they are, are you any better than trying to do something about it?

Maybe you are in an unhappy relationship - but is staying together just because it will be hard to leave a good enough reason to stay together? Think long and hard, let go of the trapeze and catch the next one. Have belief in yourself.  "He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else" Benjamin Franklin.

Whenever I think things are tough and that i’m not good enough or things in my life aren’t good enough I think of my friends and family that that been though far worse than I have and how they have believed that they can keep going and ‘get through it’. Have the confidence to take that leap.

"Confidence is the most important single factor in this game, and no matter how great your natural talent, there is only one way to obtain and sustain it: work"
Jack Nicklaus.

Keep going in whatever it is you’re doing and believe in yourself.

Till next time,

Nye
