Welcome to my blog!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Nye. I graduated in Sports Science in 2011 and have since been striving to learn as much as possible in health, fitness and nutrition. I currently run NL Fitness, the site you are now on. My official title is Wellness Coach, which to my understanding is someone who helps others become more healthy not just through exercise but through nutrition and through lifestyle changes. I spend my time personal training, giving nutritional and lifestyle advice and swimming coaching.

My aim is to educate and inspire as many of you as possible to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and improve your well-being through nutrition and fitness, but if I can get just one person feeling better about themselves then I consider this blog a huge success.

There is too much focus on weight loss and weight gain – for example it is possible to not lose weight and even gain it whilst changing your body composition for the better, looking fantastic and becoming much healthier.

I have recently embarked upon a dietary lifestyle change by undertaking Dax Moy’s Elimination Diet protocol for 30 days. My intention is to clean up some of my unhealthier dietary habits. Everyone has them, even professionals, and I’m working to be as healthy and clued up as possible so you can reap the benefits. I have been on the program for a week now and have lost 2% body fat!

This year I will be challenging both myself and my clients to go the extra mile in our training and nutritional choices to see just how much of a difference it can make. I’m a firm believer in practising what I preach (although I will try not to be too preachy) and I’ll be working hard alongside all of you to improve and set new goals all the time.

I look forward to this year ahead and hope you’ll join me in an exciting journey.
